4/12 & 4/14: I completed my own preliminary presentation of the final project this week, along with 7 of my other peers. I think I’m going to need to rework how I present this presentation; a book might not be the best representation of our time in New York
When I started revising the map from January, I realized that a lot of the learning I’ve done this semester has not significantly impacted how my mind map would look. I’m still going to be a doctor, I’m still a STEM major, and I’m still an asexual aromantic who enjoys things like obsolete trivia and stage managing. A trip to New York is highly unlikely to shake the parts of me that have been around since I was young.
It did force me to step back and analyze my role as an Agnes student who is privileged enough to take a trip such as this. I didn’t think at all about my privilege when making my first map, but getting on the plane .
