New year, new workflow

It’s a new semester, and I’m back in the CDVL! It’s wild how much about this place has changed since I started working here, we’re almost unrecognizable as the same organization on a surface level. (On a related note, I’m still having a hard time calling it the CDVL instead of the D Center. It’s a whole syllable longer and that makes a difference.) Anyway, it’s nice to be back! School and Digital Literacy

Hey again guys! I think I have an “about me” page on here somewhere, but I don’t really have anything that relates to my work at the Digital Center, and since that’s one of the main things I use this blog for I should fix that! I do still prefer Krita for this kind of thing, but now I can at least modify photoshop brushes in ways relating to pen pressure, and change the brush angle. If you want to mess around with brushes yourself, you can find the settings in the brush …

My Organizational Process

I’ve been working on more circles for the project, and it made me realize something: I’m really disorganized when it comes to layers. I never name any of them. If I’m working with under 10 layers this isn’t usually a problem, but it would probably save me a lot of time if I made the effort to name layers in more complex projects. Here’s an example of what I mean. This is actually better than …
