New year, new workflow

It’s a new semester, and I’m back in the CDVL! It’s wild how much about this place has changed since I started working here, we’re almost unrecognizable as the same organization on a surface level. (On a related note, I’m still having a hard time calling it the CDVL instead of the D Center. It’s a whole syllable longer and that makes a difference.) Anyway, it’s nice to be back! We have a much more structured framework for doing things this semester, and it will be interesting to see how this changes day to day work and the decisions I need to make. Last year there often wasn’t a concrete order in which things needed to be done, so us tutors had to decide task priority on an individual, case by case basis. This usually worked, but if everyone had a different idea of a task’s priority it would slow things down. Hopefully with the tasks smartsheet we’re using now, priority will be a more unified decision between tutors so we can get more things done.
