Residence Life

For the past two years, Kristina has had the honor of serving as a Resident Assistant for Agnes Scott College. During her first year as an RA, Kristina worked with first years in Walters and spent her second year in Inman. For Kristina, it was a wonderful experience of personal growth. Being an RA truly transformed Kristina’s time at Agnes and allowed her to deeply strengthen her leadership and communication skills. As an RA, Kristina created building-wide programs which focused on helping residents develop life skills for after Agnes, led hall meetings, responded to crises while following a strict protocol, facilitated conflict resolutions between roommates, and served as a reference for all students.

One of Kristina’s absolute favorite aspects of the job was designing and hosting engaging programs. One of her favorite programs she created was titled “As Snug As a Cake in a Mug.” At the event, Kristina served mug cakes and discussed how to adjust to stressful new environments with her residents. It was hoped that attendees would be able to carry healthy coping techniques into their lives outside of Agnes and always feel ‘snug’ in themselves and their environments. Below are some of Kristina’s favorite programs she’s hosted featuring flyers she designed herself!

Walters Res Life became a second family for Kristina. The Walters team relied on each other for guidance, support, and comfort during stressful times. Kristina has learned life long lessons and has truly made life long connections from being part of Residence Life. She couldn’t be more grateful.
