Animals of Interest

Slider

I have had the pleasure of working with Southern ground hornbills (Bucorvus leadbeateri), bean beetles (Callosobruchus maculatus), Northern mockingbirds (Mimus polyglottos), C56/B6 laboratory mice, and my favorite animal research subjects, rhesus macaques (Macaca mulatta).

Working with animals is an incredible and fulfilling experience, and one I want to base my career on. Non-human primates in particular are research subjects of great interest to me because of the direct applications of studying their behavior to humans’, their ability to perform complex tasks, and their individual personalities. I hope to continue working with a diverse range of animal species, but especially non-human primates. I’d also love to work with chimps, capuchins, and lemurs, all species I haven’t had the chance to research yet.
